FIELD: control or regulation of internal combustion engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to gas turbine engines automatic control systems, in particular, to methods of diagnosing and countering failures of sensors of controlled parameters of two-channel electronic systems of automatic control of gas turbine engines with a high degree of bypass. Disclosed method of diagnosing and countering failures of sensors of controlled parameters of a two-channel electronic automatic control system of a gas turbine engine has been successfully tested and is currently being introduced into the automatic control system of a promising aircraft engine. Engine thrust is controlled depending on fan rpm nf, this parameter most fully and unambiguously determines thrust, provides for its measurement by accurate and reliable methods. Thus, implementation of the proposed invention enables to create an effective, highly reliable and fault-tolerant method for diagnostic and counteracting failures of sensors of parameters of electronic automatic control system of gas turbine engine due to application of structural measures, incl. designed to maintain preset engine thrust in expected operating conditions.
EFFECT: prevention changes in thrust and/or other controlled parameters of the engine, improvement of reliability and fault tolerance of operation of the engine at various failures of duplicated sensors of controlled parameters.
