FIELD: gas turbine engine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in electronic automatic control systems (ACS) that have two redundant control channels to increase reliability. The method, which is carried out using an electronic two-channel automatic control system of a gas turbine engine, including an electronic two-channel engine regulator (ER), comprising a computer at each channel, an interchannel exchange module, provides for measuring the air pressure behind the compressor Pk*, generating a “Surge” signal in each channel of the system, in the case of simultaneous formation of the “Surge” signal in each channel of the system, the fuel supply to the combustion chamber of the gas turbine engine is stopped for the duration of the surge, whereas the ACS monitors the serviceability of the air pressure measurement channel Pk* in each channel. In each channel, the serviceability of the computer of each channel of the ACS and the serviceability of the interchannel exchange module of each channel of the system are monitored, so that in the case of the generation of the “Surge” signal by one of the two channels of the system and the presence in the other channel of the system of a failure of the Pk* measurement channel or a failure of the computer, or failure of the interchannel exchange module, the fuel supply to the combustion chamber is stopped for the duration of the surge. In addition, if the “Surge” signal is generated in one channel of the system, but the “Surge” signal is not generated in the second channel, and the ACS does not detect failures in both channels of the system, the fuel supply to the combustion chamber is not stopped.
EFFECT: increased functional reliability and fault tolerance of the surge protection system in the event of a failure of one of the channels for measuring air pressure behind the compressor Pk* or a failure of the computer of one of the RED channels, or a failure of the RED interchannel exchange modules.
