FIELD: aviation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to designs of hovercraft. Aircraft carrier hovercraft is a nuclear-powered aircraft carrier (NPAC) with a double-hull catamaran structure. Aerodynamic wings located to the left and to the right of hulls are composed of center sections and consoles. Propulsive function of hovercraft is realized on the basis of combined binary cycles (CBC) with heat from nuclear reactors. NPAC comprises submersible water intakes and air confusers. On the bottoms of the NPAC hulls there are chevron-shaped hydrodynamic steps, and on the left and right in the front parts of the NPAC hulls there are front aerodynamic wings. At NPAC traction propellers are used, driven by steam turbine units of CBC, or turbojet engines are used. Aircraft hangar sliding gates are built in NPAC hulls. NPAC is equipped with transporters for movement of aircraft.
EFFECT: enabling construction of high-autonomous nuclear aircraft carriers of both high payload capacity and small aircraft carriers with small flight decks, which do not require aircraft run during takeoffs and landings.
