FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of controlling and monitoring power converters. Technical result is achieved due to the fact that protocol data are used to control events in power converter, they are marked, wherein marking relates to time information or sequence of logged messages, wherein by means of artificial intelligence the most probable technical main causes of failure or malfunction are determined, wherein the machine learning algorithm is trained to classify fault events into predefined categories, wherein the artificial intelligence is trained to conclude on the source of the fault based on the cascade of messages, wherein several sources of faults can be indicated, wherein the probability for correctness of this indication is calculated.
EFFECT: increased reliability of converter operation due to prevention of failures.
