SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for separating suspensions. Device includes cylinder-conical housing, ensuring tightness of cylinder-conical housing upper and lower centring plates, upper block of bearings installed in upper centring plate, lower unit of bearings installed in lower centring plate, tangential branch pipe for inlet of initial suspension, thickened suspension discharge branch pipe, filtrate discharge branch pipe, filtering element installed on filtrate discharge branch pipe and made with possibility of rotation, drive shaft installed in the upper part of the filtering element and centred in the upper centring plate, discharge pipe is installed in the lower part of the filtering element and is centred in the lower centring plate. Filter element has an epicycloid cross-section, wherein the number of epicycloid cusps is not less than 4.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of a device for separating suspensions.
