FIELD: veterinary science.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to veterinary surgery, namely to treatment of injured animals. Method of treating wounds in animals involves external application of a preparation of cidisept-gel on the surface of the wound in a thin uniform layer 1 time a day until its complete healing, but not more than 10 days, from the first day after injury, the animals are additionally injected intramuscularly with 0.01% thymogen in dose of 3 mcg/kg of body weight once day for 5 days.
EFFECT: proposed method of treating wounds in animals expands the range of medical treatment of animals with wounds, provides higher immunological responsiveness of injured animals, prevention of wound infection development, as well as reduction of wound healing time.
