FIELD: mining industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mining industry, namely to underground ore mining. Disclosed is a method for underground development of thick deposits of poor or low-value ores, which includes chamber extraction of reserves with arrangement of blocks across the strike of the ore body. At the same time, due to leaving insulating interchamber pillars having the shape of right-angled triangles, which are formed by sectional breaking of ore by counter fans of borehole charges during extraction of chambers, closed mined space is created, which is not connected to adjacent chambers in horizontal plane and serves as a reservoir for placement of mining wastes in the form of cement-free filling. Height of the pillars in the lower part of the chambers is taken to be equal to half the height of the chamber, and the angle of inclination of the wall of the pillars in the upper part of the chambers is taken to be equal to or by 1–2 degrees greater than the angle of natural slope of the filling material.

EFFECT: higher extraction rates relative to traditional technologies for poor deposits and reduced environmental damage due to placement of a significant portion of production wastes and processing in underground mined space and preservation of earth surface.
