FIELD: coke industry.
SUBSTANCE: described is a dry coke quenching plant and a dry coke quenching method. Plant includes a cooling gas circulation circuit, which includes a quenching chamber, a dust collector, a waste-heat boiler, a cyclone, a blower, and a device for continuous coke discharge, which are connected by gas ducts. Plant also includes an excess circulating gas discharge plug equipped with an afterburner system.
EFFECT: purification of excess circulation gases and minimization of carbon monoxide emissions into environment.
