FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to coke-chemical industry and can be used in application of technology of dry coke quenching. Method involves production of coke in coke furnaces, loading in dry coke quenching chamber and blowing dry-quenching chambers with a coolant, maintaining optimum composition of circulating coolant while providing content of combustible components CO 12–15 %, H2 less than 5 %.
EFFECT: invention reduces amount of excess heat carrier, "waste", loss of coke during dry coke quenching, ash content of metallurgical coke, amount of release excess circulating gas, CRI index; improves mechanical and physical-chemical properties of coke when using dry coke quenching; higher strength of metallurgical coke CSR, blast-furnace performance and efficiency of blowing pulverised fuel.
