SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the process of sport fishing, design of angler equipment and can be carried out when fishing on large rivers, large inland water bodies, in the sea and in the ocean. Disclosed is a device for casting fishing tackle, which includes a cylinder partially filled with water, with a barrel connected to its inner volume, having a valve in the zone of connection to the cylinder, and a source of thermal energy, which is supplied to the cylinder, and is characterized by that the cylinder comprises a safety valve, which has a body, a seat, a shutoff element, a spring resting against it and a pressure element made in the form of a pressure cover, which has a mating thread and is equipped with divisions indicating the force applied by the cover through the spring to the shutoff element. Disclosed is a method of casting fishing gear.
