SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of making a substrate sheet for a decorative floor or wall coating. Method of making a substrate sheet for decorative flooring or wall covering includes: providing a first thermoplastic composition containing processed PVC (polyvinyl chloride) granules, wherein the first thermoplastic composition has a hue; mixing the dimmer to the first thermoplastic composition so as to obtain a first thermoplastic composition having a certain shade, wherein said determined shade is a predetermined target shade, and the stage of dimmer mixing includes: a) adding a dimmer to the first thermoplastic composition so as to obtain a first thermoplastic composition having a darker hue; b) comparing the darker shade with said determined shade; and c) based on comparison, if necessary, repeating steps a) and b) to obtain a first thermoplastic composition having a certain hue; providing a second thermoplastic composition; coextrusion of a first thermoplastic composition having said defined shade with a second composition to form first and second adjacent coextruded layers, wherein the first coextruded layer is a support layer having said defined shade, wherein the first coextruded layer comprises a first thermoplastic composition, and where the second coextruded layer is a digital printing layer, wherein the second coextruded layer contains a second thermoplastic composition. Invention also relates to a method of making a decorative floor or wall covering, involving: providing a substrate sheet made by a method for making a substrate sheet for decorative flooring or wall covering; and digital printing of decor on layer for digital printing. In addition, the invention relates to a decorative floor or wall coating obtained by a method of making a decorative floor or wall coating.
EFFECT: disclosed is a method of making a substrate sheet for a decorative floor or wall covering, which enables to produce much more versatile substrate sheets without necessarily increasing their production cost, and disclosed is a method of making a decorative floor or wall covering, wherein accurate control of the shade of the support layer containing recycled PVC, which is located under the digital printing layer and the digitally printed decor, considerably improves consistency of quality of finished decorative floor or wall covering during several production batches.
