FIELD: various technological processes; transportation.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of gas transportation in gas pipelines, namely to methods of gas pipeline cleaning from hydrate deposits formed during gas transportation. Hydrate deposits are affected by gas jets formed by an electro-thermal-mechanical unit moving along a gas pipeline under the action of a stream of the transported gas, and heated to a temperature in the range of plus 5 °C to plus 50 °C due to electric energy. Softened hydrate deposits are dispersed by mechanical force action on them by the moving electro-thermal-mechanical unit front end, as well as heated scraper spring elements located on the outer surface of the electro-thermal-mechanical unit. To supply heat electric heaters located on the front end of the electro-thermal-mechanical unit, heating gas jets and scraper spring elements, electric generator with a blade drive is used, which operates under action of transported gas jets and/or accumulators connected to the generator. Increasing the intensity of the gas jets acting on the vane drive of the electric generator using the adjustable diaphragm by increasing the pressure drop that occurred when the moving unit collides with hydrate deposits, wherein temperature of heated gas jets is varied by voltage regulator fed to heat electric heaters.

EFFECT: improving completeness and quality of gas pipeline cleaning from hydrate deposits at reduction of power consumption for implementation of the method.
