SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer engineering for processing audio data. Technical result is achieved by rendering an input audio signal based on a channel or an object into an initial output representation; determining an estimate of a dominant audio component from an input audio signal based on a channel or an object, which includes: determining a sequence of weight components of a dominant audio component for mapping an initial output representation to a dominant audio component and determining an estimate of the dominant audio component based on the weight coefficients of the dominant audio component and the initial output representation; determining the direction or position of the dominant audio component; and encoding the initial output representation, weight coefficients of the dominant audio component and at least one of the direction and position of the dominant audio component as the encoded signal for reproduction.

EFFECT: elimination of asynchrony/delay between head movements and audio rendering in case of head tracking.
