FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering, namely to power electronics, and can be used to control a multi-level three-phase self-contained voltage inverter (hereinafter referred to as "inverter") with an arbitrary number of identical levels of output line voltage in order to obtain a controlled three-phase alternating voltage, for example, in systems of controlled electric drive of three-phase alternating current, in systems with renewable energy sources, etc. Method of space-vector pulse-width modulation of the output voltage of the inverter generates an executed spatial vector of the output voltage according to the coordinates of the relative values of the two linear voltages, each of which at each cycle is composed of two components, one of which is equal to the value of the integer part of the reading of the relative value of the corresponding linear voltage of the setting, and the second depends on the fractional parts of the readings of the two said voltages, the number of the sector and the type of the modulation triangle and takes on the cycle values only 0 or 1, in accordance with used 3-segment version of the switching sequence of three modulation vectors. Selection of key states of phases of three-phase inverter promotes minimization of values of its common-mode voltage at each moment of time, i.e. when using any vector from the complete set of spatial vectors of the inverter.
EFFECT: generation of controlled three-phase alternating voltage with reduced content of higher harmonics of both voltage itself and current consumed from inverter (due to quarter-wave symmetry of curves of output phase and linear voltages) with the same or less value of the number of switching in the phase arm of the inverter for the period of the output voltage, which makes it possible to either improve quality of output energy at the same value of efficiency, or to increase efficiency of inverter at the same quality of energy due to reduction of value of power of dynamic losses in power semiconductor switches of inverter; at that, instantaneous value of common-mode voltage of three-phase inverter always remains within ±1/3 of the value of the supply DC voltage of the single (basic) level.
