SPACE-VECTOR METHOD OF CONTROLLING OUTPUT VOLTAGE OF MULTILEVEL THREE-PHASE AUTONOMOUS VOLTAGE INVERTER Russian patent published in 2025 - IPC H02M7/525

Abstract RU 2837271 C1

FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering, namely to power electronics, and can be used to control a multilevel three-phase autonomous voltage inverter (hereinafter also referred to as "inverter") with an arbitrary number of identical levels of output linear voltage. Technical result is achieved due to the space-vector method of controlling the output voltage of the inverter, in which the vector closest to the given vector is selected, and comparison of barycentric coordinates of the setting vector on the triangle of the nearest vectors is used for this selection. Inclined 60-degree coordinates of the base vector of the rhombus of the nearest vectors and barycentric coordinates on the triangles of the three nearest vectors are the integer and fractional parts of the normalized values of linear stresses (which determine the position of the spatial stress vector), and readings of only two linear voltages of the setting are subjected to direct computational processing. In addition, due to selection of key states of phases of three-phase inverter, instantaneous value of its common-mode voltage is guaranteed to remain within ±1/3 of the value of the supply direct voltage of the single (basic) level, which mitigates the problem of common-mode voltage and simplifies measures for protection against accompanying undesirable phenomena, in particular, facilitates filtering of common-mode current of the inverter.

EFFECT: generation of controlled three-phase alternating voltage of an inverter of an arbitrary circuit configuration with an arbitrary number of identical levels of output linear voltage (without using look-up tables and without any complication with an increase in the number of inverter levels) by selecting at each cycle of available vector closest to reference of spatial vector of reference voltage, with a simplified procedure for identifying three nearest vectors and selecting one of them, which enables to reduce the requirements for the hardware used in the control system, which extends the use of the method of selecting the nearest vector with space-vector control of the output voltage of the inverter.
