FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the preparation of a nitrogen alloy of vanadium, which includes steps of (a) an ammonium vanadate salt is fed into a first rotary kiln and is heated for the hot mixture deamination to produce vanadium oxide and mixed gas 1; (b) the hot vanadium oxide mixture is placed in a second rotary kiln, heated and reduced in a first protective atmosphere to obtain vanadium nitride and mixed gas 2; (c) in percentage by weight graphite powder and vanadium nitride are mixed in accordance with K:1, mixing ratio of ingredients to produce mixed material, mixing the material to form a block of dry raw material, the oxygen content in the vanadium nitride from 4 % to 20 %, dividing the oxygen content into n intervals, in each of which the value of K is proportional to the oxygen content; (d) a block of dry raw material is fed into a calcining furnace and nitriding is reduced by carbon heating in a second protective atmosphere to obtain an alloy of vanadium nitrogen and mixed gas 3.
EFFECT: invention uses vanadium nitride to prepare vanadium nitrogen alloy, which has low dosage of carbonaceous reducing agent and reduced carbon emissions, which enables to obtain a nitrogen alloy of vanadium with low carbon content.
