FIELD: metallurgy, namely, processes for extracting vanadium from slags and other vanadium containing materials for making vanadium products. SUBSTANCE: method for producing vanadium pentoxide enriched up to 10-20% Y2O4 of 0,1-1,0 m3/min with reduced content of impurities and suitable for melting out low-manganese ferrovanadium comprises steps of forming on filter layer of deposit of paste of divanadium pentoxide with residual humidity degree 40-70% before washing out vanadium pentoxide by water; pumping through said paste layer solution of ferrum (II) sulfate with concentration 5-20 g/l of cation and pH 2-3.6; determining volume of washed material according to formula: V washing= 2.5 2,5Py2O5XMnO(m3) m3cu.m, where V- volume of washed material, cu. m; Py2O5 - mass of initial divanadium pentoxide, t; XMnO - content of MnO in initial divanadium pentoxide, %. Treatment of concentrate of vanadium pentoxide according to such pattern allows to receive product with manganese content satisfying international standard for technical vanadium pentoxide and to use it for melting out low-manganese ferrovanadium and special alloys.
