FIELD: medical equipment.

SUBSTANCE: transducer retainer for echocardiographic examination of heart and surrounding tissues comprises a frame and an element for fixing the frame on the patient's body. Frame is made of rigid material, has a flat base and a raised cylindrical section with a central round through hole. Frame fixing element is fixed on the flat base of the frame. Thread is made on outer side of cylindrical section. Retainer comprises an ultrasound transducer holder and a transducer holder clamp. Transducer holder is made in the form of two hemispheres forming when connected a hollow detachable ball with a diameter exceeding the diameter of the through hole. Slots for the transducer in the upper and lower parts of the holder limit the installation zone. In working condition, holder is installed in round hole of cylindrical section with possibility of its rotation and installation of transducer at angle of inclination of round hinge type. Clamp of the transducer holder is made in the form of a section with a through hole, having an internal screw thread for screwing on the external thread of the cylindrical section. In working condition, the formed screw connection fixes the required position of the transducer relative to the plane of the base of the frame.

EFFECT: simplified design, simple and easy manufacture of elements, simple and fast assembly of lightweight structure, reliable fixation of the transducer in the device with the possibility of placing the transducer at an angle, changing the angle of inclination depending on the patient’s physiology, the location of the heart and the purpose of echocardiography of the heart and surrounding tissues.
