SUBSTANCE: device relates to transport systems and can be used for reciprocating movement of goods, parts of lifting mechanisms, machines, etc. Drive comprises a toothed chain power pair of sprockets 1, 2, fixed on shafts 3, 4, endless power chain 5 forming loops 6, 7, one of which is power 6, and engaged with power pair of sprockets 1, 2, chain power bypass unit 8, and gear pair 9, 10, transmitting torque through shafts 3, 4. Gear ratio of gear chain power pair of sprockets 1, 2 and gear pair 9, 10, transmitting torque, is not equal to one. Drive has a housing with load-bearing elements 11, 12, in which shafts 3, 4 are fixed through bearings 13. Gear chain power pair of sprockets 1, 2 is located between power elements 11, 12 of housing, and toothed pair 9, 10 transmitting the torque is located outside power elements 11, 12 of the housing. Shafts 3, 4 are located from 0° up to 90° relative to power loop force vector 14.
