SUBSTANCE: proposed heating unit for steam iron comprises sole plate (11), in which there are holes (26) for steam outlet, heater (12), upper closing cover (13), equipped with inlet (14) for water, steam chamber (19), enclosed between heater (12) and closing cover (13), and steam distribution chamber (28) enclosed between heater (12) and base (11) and communicated with steam chamber (19) by steam distribution channels.
EFFECT: one of the purposes of the invention is to create a heating unit for an iron, which increases efficiency of cleaning the steam chamber, reducing the risk of clogging of the steam outlet holes during cleaning; one more objective of the invention consists in creation of a heating unit for an iron, which enables to obtain a high rate of outflow of water, particles dissolved in it and possible steam from the steam chamber, minimizing the cleaning time of the heating unit.
