FIELD: military equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of individual protection of aircraft from high-precision weapons equipped with homing heads. Pyrotechnic composition based on aluminum and iron oxide is a source of infrared radiation for creating a false thermal target. Composition additionally contains fluoroplastic F-42 and graphite with the following ratio of components, wt %: fluoroplastic F-42 30–40; aluminum with fraction from 0.2 to 10 mcm 35–45; iron (III) oxide 15–25; graphite 6, over 100 % of the main composition.
EFFECT: enabling creation of blocks of pyrotechnic composition with infrared radiation with short ignition delay time and longer burning time than in existing MTV- and ATV-compositions, and infrared characteristics close to infrared characteristics of protected objects.
