SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to psychiatry, and can be used in treating tobacco addiction. Method involves nicotine replacement therapy in the form of taking Nicorette tablets in dose of 4 mg 5 times a day, and in case of poor tolerance of this preparation, 2 mg 3 times a day, and Proproten-100 2 tablets 2 times a day in the morning and at night for 7 days. Additionally, the preparation Proproten-100 is administered once week for 1.5 hours according to the schedule: 2 tablets of preparation every 30 minutes, and in intervals between doses of ½ tablet of Nicorette 4 mg or 2 mg; in total per session 8 tablets of Proprotene-100 and 2 tablets of Nicorette 4 mg or 2 mg. During the whole period of patient’s stay in the oncological hospital, 3 sessions are performed once a week.

EFFECT: invention enables to achieve cessation or stable reduction of smoking in 2 times in a shorter period of time than is provided by standard methods of nicotine replacement therapy, which is necessary in a hospital environment for cancer patients, since promotes the effectiveness of the course of chemoradiation therapy at its various stages and further rehabilitation of the patient.
