FIELD: medicine; pharmacology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the use of a pharmaceutical composition containing choline alfoscerate and 2-ethyl-6-methyl-3-hydroxypyridine succinate and at least one pharmaceutically acceptable excipient, as a neuroprotective agent in cerebral ischemia. Use of a pharmaceutical composition containing choline alfoscerate and 2-ethyl-6-methyl-3-hydroxypyridine succinate and at least one pharmaceutically acceptable excipient, as a neuroprotective agent for cerebral ischemia in a subject, wherein the active substances in said composition are in the following amount: choline alfoscerate—from 600 to 1,000 mg, 2-ethyl-6-methyl-3-hydroxypyridine succinate—from 350 to 1,000 mg.
EFFECT: said invention simplifies the regimen of choline alfoscerate and 2-ethyl-6-methyl-3-hydroxypyridine succinate, increases the severity of the therapeutic neuroprotective effect, synergistically increase the neuroprotective action of the composition due to the combined use of choline alfoscerate and 2-ethyl-6-methyl-3-hydroxypyridine succinate and expand the range of neuroprotective drugs, used in cerebral ischemia.
