FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture, namely to quality control of fodder additives for poultry. Disclosed is a method for screening feed additives for poultry by ability to sorb mycotoxins in vitro, including preparation of individual working solutions of six mycotoxins in an acidic medium with pH 1.0–1.5, feeding additive into dry clean test tubes in four dosages from 0.5 to 5.0 kg/t, adding working solutions in amount of 10 ml and glass beads-balls 2 pcs to weighed portions of a fodder additive, incubation for 1 hour at temperature of 40±1 °C and active stirring at 250 rpm, centrifuging, measuring the concentration of mycotoxins in the aliquot, removing the solution by decantation, adding a sodium phosphate buffer in volume of 10 ml of pH 5.0–5.5, which is achieved by step-by-step addition of hydrochloric acid, and incubation for 3 hours at temperature of 40±1 °C and active stirring at 250 rpm, centrifugation, measurement of concentration of mycotoxins in aliquot, calculation of sorption capacity of fodder additive to each of six mycotoxins. According to the invention, the fodder additive evaluation and screening are determined by the EF – the fodder additive efficiency factor, which is calculated by the formula:
,
where EF is the efficiency factor of the fodder additive; a is average sorption capacity in four dosages to aflatoxin B1, %; t is average sorption capacity in four dosages to T2 toxin, %; d is average sorption capacity in four dosages to deoxynivalenol, %; f is average sorption capacity in four dosages to fumonisin B1, %; z is average sorption capacity in four dosages to zearalenone, %; o is average sorption capacity in four dosages to ochratoxin A, %, wherein the ability of the feed additive to sorb mycotoxins is determined by the efficiency factor of the feed additive: from 16 to 30 – low-efficiency ability, from 30 to 100 – norm-effective ability, from 100 to 275 – high-efficiency ability.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to effectively select fodder additives for poultry by ability to sorb mycotoxins.
