FIELD: electrochemical power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrochemical power engineering and can be used in production of medium-temperature electrochemical devices, such as, for example, solid oxide fuel cells, electrolysers, etc., including those based on proton-conducting electrolytes. Method involves impregnating electrode with 50% alcohol solution of a cobalt nitrate salt, followed by heat treatment at 600 °C for 1 hour.
EFFECT: proposed method reduces polarization resistance of barium ferrite-based electrodes with high manufacturability and cost-effectiveness of the electrode activation process.
