FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering, namely to an electrode material for electrochemical devices, and can be used in medium-temperature electrochemical devices based on proton-conducting electrolytes, such as solid oxide fuel cells, electrolyzers, sensors. The electrode material is doped yttrium ferrite, in which the yttrium ions are replaced with calcium ions, and the iron ions are replaced with cobalt ions, while the doped yttrium ferrite has the composition Y0.9Ca0.1Fe0.5Co0.5O3–δ. The electrode material is prepared using the citrate-nitrate synthesis method from the precursors Ca(NO3)2, Y(NO3)3·6H2O, Fe(NO3)3·6H2O and Со(NO3)2·6H2O. Citric acid was used as fuel. The resulting powders were synthesized at 950°C for 10 h and sintered at 1250°C for 5 h.

EFFECT: increasing electrical conductivity, reducing polarization resistance of the electrode material.
