SUBSTANCE: group of inventions includes a machine for geotechnical works and a method of controlling its manipulator. Machine comprises: vehicle body; manipulator having several degrees of freedom of movement relative to the housing; positioning system and vehicle body orientation, configured to obtain vehicle body position and orientation information in real time for position display and orientation of vehicle body in real time in working space of machine for engineering and geological works; system for determining the position and orientation of the manipulator, configured to obtain information on the position and orientation of the manipulator in real time for displaying the position and orientation of manipulator in real time relative to vehicle body, and a position and orientation control system comprising a control device and a drive device, wherein the control device is configured to send a control signal to the drive device for position control and the orientation of the manipulator in accordance with the predetermined position and orientation information displaying the position and orientation of the manipulator required to perform an operation on the working surface of the construction object, with information on position and orientation of vehicle body in real time and with information on position and orientation of manipulator in real time, wherein the drive device is configured to actuate the manipulator in accordance with the control signal to achieve the preset position and orientation of the manipulator.
EFFECT: high accuracy of performing engineering and geological works.
