SUBSTANCE: invention relates to anticorrosion protection of steel structures and constructions under cathodic protection, in particular, underground main pipelines. Bitumen-polymer mastic for insulating coating of cathode-polarized underground metal structures contains bitumen “БНД-60/90” in amount of 31–40 wt.%, bitumen “БН-70/30” in amount of 14–19 wt.%, thermoplastic elastomer, petroleum resin in amount of 11–12 wt.%, polybutadiene low-molecular rubber in amount of 1–4.5 wt.%, plasticiser and electrosensitive component. Electrosensitive component used is a powdered ionite with an ionic group in Ni(2+) or Mg(2+) form, modified with an organic film-forming agent with a fraction size of 1–30 mcm, in amount of 10–16 wt.%, thermoplastic elastomer used is butadiene-styrene thermoplastic in amount of 7.7–8 wt.%, and the plasticiser used is industrial oil “И-40А” in amount of 11–12 wt.%.

EFFECT: improved functional parameters of pipeline coatings, in particular, increased reliability of the coating created using bitumen-polymer mastic, due to increased adhesion properties of the moisture-sensitive first layer of the pipeline coating adjacent to the protected metal.
