SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of transmitting data using bar coding. Method includes generating a plurality of intermediate efficiency indicators K separately for each of the units and in general, for the faculty, determination of the set of parameters P, characterizing each of the intermediate indicators, determination for each element of the set K of an evaluation function of the form kii(P), measurement of the numerical value of each element of the set P, performed by a responsible specialist of the subdivision, encoding the obtained value with a barcode and applying the barcode on a paper medium. At that, a specialist of the department of efficiency monitoring of subdivisions reads barcodes using a portable scanning device made on the basis of a microcontroller, then the obtained data are stored in the database of the automated system for calculating efficiency and the numerical value of the efficiency indicator of the educational departments of the higher educational institution is calculated.

EFFECT: technical task of the invention, which coincides with the positive result of its application, is the possibility of assessing the efficiency of the higher educational institution, as well as eliminating the possibility of errors when transmitting data from various departments of the higher educational institution to the efficiency monitoring department.
