SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a hand-held aerosol-generating system with induction heating and a capsule used in said system. Hand-held aerosol-generating system with induction heating comprises a capsule containing a shell having a base and at least one side wall extending from the base. Capsule additionally comprises a fragile cover tightly fixed on said at least one side wall to form a sealed capsule. Shell comprises an aerosol-generating substrate and a susceptor material for heating the aerosol-generating substrate in the shell. System comprises a power supply connected to a load circuit comprising an inductor for inductive coupling with a susceptor material in a shell, and an aerosol-generating device comprising a mouthpiece and a piercing element for piercing the fragile cap of the capsule. Due to arrangement of aerosol-forming substrate and susceptor material inside capsule, possibility of direct heating of aerosol-forming substrate is provided. Heat is generated directly at the location of the aerosol-forming substrate, namely inside the capsule.

EFFECT: preventing overheating of the aerosol-forming substrate and thus preventing the substrate from burning and reducing the formation of combustion products.
