SUBSTANCE: group of inventions is related to an aerosol generating device and a system containing an aerosol generating device. The aerosol-generating device is comprised of a cavity for accommodating an aerosol-generating article containing an aerosol-forming substrate, and an induction heating structure. The induction heating structure contains an inductor and a susceptor assembly. The susceptor assembly comprises a central susceptor structure located in the centre of said cavity and a peripheral susceptor structure located at a distance from and around the central susceptor structure. The susceptor assembly is configured with one or more of the following: the central susceptor structure is comprised of at least two central susceptors allowing for a lateral air flow between at least two central susceptors; the peripheral susceptor structure is comprised of at least two peripheral susceptors allowing for a lateral airflow between the at least two peripheral susceptors; and one or both of the central susceptor construct and the peripheral susceptor construct are comprised of one or more porous susceptors.

EFFECT: more uniform heating and air flow.
