FIELD: medicine; pathological anatomy.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to assess the functional state of adrenal cortical endocrine cells. For this purpose, samples of adrenal cortex with endocrine cells are prepared. Sections are made. At least 10 cells are selected in the field of view by random selection on a section of adrenal cortex at magnification of 8,000 and photographed with obtaining electron diffraction patterns by transmission-electron microscopy. Morphological characteristics of structural formations, such as nucleus, karyolemma, perinuclear space, nucleolus and its structure, chromatin, agranular endoplasmic reticulum, mitochondria, lipid inclusions, mutual contact of mitochondrial membranes, agranular endoplasmic reticulum and lipid inclusions on electron diffraction patterns. Least numerical value—0 points is assigned to that morphological characteristic, which maximally changes the morphology of a typical cortical endocrine cell organelle, and the highest numerical value in points is assigned to the morphological characteristic which completely corresponds to the norm in terms of structure. Functional state of adrenal cortical endocrine cells is evaluated by calculating the sum of digital values, assigned to morphological characteristics of structural formations of these cells on electron diffraction patterns. Mitosis is stated—if the total score is 1–8, hypofunction—if the total score is 9–23 points, hyperfunction—when total score is equal to 24–31 points, normal function—when total score is equal to 32–36 points.
EFFECT: invention enables fast and objective assessment of the functional state of adrenal cortical endocrine cells.
