FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices used in operative traumatology and orthopedics. Device for holding the screw on the working end of the screwdriver during osteosynthesis is a screwdriver attachment, made of a ring-shaped fragment of a plastic tube with diameter of 15 mm, width of 12 mm, with a hole in the middle for a screwdriver rod, with diameter of 6 mm, on one side, and a wedge-shaped notch for a threaded part of the screw, with depth of 9 mm, on the other, or with diameter of 12 mm, width of 8 mm, with a hole in the middle for a screwdriver rod, with diameter of 4 mm, on one side, and a wedge-shaped notch for a threaded part of the screw, with depth of 5 mm, on the other. Device is made with possibility of sterilization in antiseptic solution and with possibility of screw cap approaching bone surface or metal structure 2–3 turns before complete screwing in.
EFFECT: providing the possibility of screwing the screw into the bone without holding it with the other hand, without making the standard screwdriver heavier and without complicating its operation, improving the quality and time of the osteosynthesis, possibility of using the device until the screw head approaches the bone surface or metal structure, easy manufacture of the device, reusability of the device, possibility of sterilization of the device in an antiseptic solution.
