SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electronic clocks. Electronic clock has functionality for space exploration and/or surface exploration on a terrestrial planet. Clock comprises a time display facility and a processor subsystem. Processor subsystem is configured to support the coordinated planetary time of the earth-type planet, obtain longitudinal data representing the longitude of interest on the earth-type planet, which is different from the zero meridian of the planet, determining local true solar time, LTST, at longitude of interest depending on coordinated planetary time and using equation of time, which takes into account eccentricity of the orbit and inclination of the axis of rotation of the earth-type planet, and control of the electronic clock time display for displaying the LTST.
EFFECT: disclosed is an electronic clock for space and / or surface research.
