FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: chopper-spreader of a combine harvester for harvesting corn contains frame (1) and chopper block (2) located in it that is structurally connected with shaft (3) and hinged knives, spreader (4), pitched shield (6), and switchboard (5), rear removable shield (7), additional lower shield (11), and additional upper shield (12). Additional lower shield (11) has a bent sheet metal shape, consisting of three flanges of different lengths, located at different angles to each other, and is bolted at the bottom to changeover shield (5). Additional top shield (12) is a bent sheet metal form consisting of five flanges of different lengths, located at different angles to each other, and is bolted at the top to rear removable shield (7).
EFFECT: design is simplified and the straw walker keys and electrical circuit components are protected from direct contact with corn cobs thrown by the chopper knives at high speed when operating in the chopper mode, reducing the labour intensity of converting the chopper-spreader to another harvesting process.
