FIELD: imaging technologies.

SUBSTANCE: according to the present invention, a process cartridge and a potential detection part are provided. Process cartridge comprises a cartridge housing, a photosensitive drum installed with possibility of rotation in the cartridge housing, and a potential detection part configured to detect an electric signal in the image forming region. Potential detection part comprises a detection start portion and a detection end portion; detection start portion and detection end portion, respectively, correspond to a detection start position and a detection end position of the detection region for detecting a potential along a first direction; wherein the maximum distance along the first direction between the orthogonal projections of the detection start portion and the detection end portion in the imaging region is equal to L1; length of the imaging region along the first direction is equal to L2; a first direction parallel to the axis of the photosensitive drum; and L1/L2>1/3.

EFFECT: disclosed solution enables to promptly remind the user of contamination and faults on the surface of the photosensitive drum, thereby increasing the operational life of the cartridge.
