FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: belt-fed light machine gun comprises breech casing with insert rigidly secured thereat with a barrel fixed in it, and back plate with butt attached thereto, movable automatic system and detachable breech casing bottom part. Bottom part is connected to the breech casing by an axis with possibility of rotation of the bottom part of the breech casing and is fixed with a latch from behind. Trigger mechanism is located in the breech casing, the trigger is located in the bottom part of the breech casing.
EFFECT: improved operational characteristics of the machine gun, increased reliability of operation.
