FIELD: beekeeping.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for melting bee wax in apiaries. Wax melter contains open tank with compartments for wax melting and rinsing honeycomb frame cleaned from wax, separated from above by inner transverse partition and connected to each other from below. On the side walls of the wax melting compartment there are guiding grooves for feeding honeycomb frames from under the inner partition into the rinsing compartment. Heater is installed in a closed casing under the bottom of the tank. Screw wax press is mounted in a water bath at the end of the tank opposite to the rinsing compartment in such a way that melted wax is fed by gravity along the filling chute on the wax press body on the side of guide grooves into the wax press basket, where the wax residue is also directed as it accumulates in the melting compartment. Height of the other three walls of the body of the wax press is higher than the level of the wax residue, and the obtained wax is drained through a drain tube on the side wall of the tank.

EFFECT: invention increases efficiency of the process of separating wax from honeycomb frames, quality of cleaning honeycomb frames, possibility of getting all melted wax into the wax collector and safety of operations with hot water and wax residue.
