DEEP-DIVING UNDERWATER VEHICLE Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC B63G8/00

Abstract RU 2821405 C1

FIELD: shipbuilding.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to shipbuilding, namely to self-contained unmanned underwater self-propelled vehicles, and can be used for investigation of water areas. Deep-sea underwater vehicle comprises a body, an engine, a propulsor, a buoyancy control device containing a suspended ballast-deepener installed in the central part of the body and connected to a cable for deepening. Body is equipped with a frame on which additional engines and propellers are installed, and on it the surfacing ballast with its release devices is placed. Body is also equipped with floats with valves, for example, with four slings connected to it, located in close proximity to surfacing ballasts, and the ballast-deepener is made of a set of massive metal, for example, lead plates with the possibility of lowering it to a distance controlled by the length of the connecting cable in the above-water position, wherein the ballast-deepener is equipped with a float-damper to reduce the jerk during lowering and a mechanical disconnector for straightening the rope connecting them. Maximum deepening rate is controlled by weight of ballast-deepener, length of connecting cable and is limited by actual rundown of deep-diving underwater vehicle after contact of ballast-deepener of bottom surface.

EFFECT: enabling submersion of deep-diving vehicle to specified depth with maximum speed and minimum power consumption, as well as possibility of collision of deep-diving underwater vehicle with soil during submersion is excluded, which increases its reliability and survivability.
