FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment, namely to a method of making an implant. Method involves preparation of a template assembled from wax. Method involves application of an adhesive layer on the assembled template consisting of a resin dissolved in a solvent. Method involves production of a laminated template assembled by applying a laminating layer on the outer surface of the assembled template with an adhesive layer in the form of a composition containing low-density polyethylene with concentration of 5–40 wt.% dissolved in a solvent. Method includes preparation of mould by application of layer of ceramic suspension on laminated template assembly. Proposed method comprises application of preliminarily dried moulding sand mixture onto mould to form mould coated with sand moulding mixture. Proposed method comprises removing wax and calcining the assembled mould coated with sand moulding sand to form the mould from which wax is removed. Method involves pouring a molten metal alloy into a mould from which wax is removed to form a cast mould. Method involves cooling and hardening the cast mould to form a cast implant. Method involves heat treatment and finishing of the cast implant to form the implant.
EFFECT: elimination of risks of inappropriate fixation of the implant at the implantation site, thus providing an optimal fit, as well as functional capabilities of the implant at the implantation site and obtaining implants with a smooth surface and optimum density, which is required to prevent formation of cracks when exposed to cyclic stresses and loads.
