FIELD: microbiology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to microbiology and can be used to diagnose and study opportunistic microorganisms of the genus Desulfovibrio, namely to study the sensitivity of sulphate-reducing bacteria to antimicrobial agents. Disclosed is a method for determining antibiotic resistance of bacteria of the genus Desulfovibrio spp. Method involves preparation of a nutrient medium for cultivation of bacteria of the genus Desulfovibrio spp., preparation of suspension of bacteria Desulfovibrio spp. density of 1 McFarland turbidity standard, preparation of dilution of solutions of antibacterial preparations in 1 ml of nutrient medium, introduction of 100 mcl of suspension of bacteria Desulfovibrio spp. in prepared dilutions of antibacterial preparations with a nutrient medium, incubation of the obtained mixture in anaerobic conditions for 72 hours at 34–36 °C, visual assessment of sensitivity of bacteria of the genus Desulfovibrio spp. antibacterial preparations are analysed by presence or absence of blackening in microtubes containing dilutions of antibacterial preparations with a nutrient medium for cultivation of bacteria of the genus Desulfovibrio spp., where the presence of blackening indicates resistance of bacteria of the genus Desulfovibrio spp. to the analysed concentration of antimicrobial preparations, and the absence of blackening is assessed as a result sensitive to antibacterial preparations.
EFFECT: method provides higher efficiency, simplification and reduced labour intensity when determining antibiotic resistance of bacteria of the genus Desulfovibrio spp.
