FIELD: veterinary science; virology.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to veterinary virology, namely to production of vaccine preparations. Disclosed is a method of increasing the storage time of industrial 146S immunogenic component of the foot-and-mouth disease virus antigen. Method employs a complex of sterile 2-hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin with concentration of 0.7% and polyethylene glycol-300 with concentration of 1.2%, which is introduced into the ready antigen preparation.
EFFECT: method allows to increase the storage time of industrial 146S immunogenic component of the foot-and-mouth disease virus antigen to 4 years at temperature of 4–8 °C, proposed complex of stabilizers with the above concentrations in the foot-and-mouth disease vaccine is harmless for cattle for which this vaccine is intended.
