FIELD: tobacco industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to tobacco industry, namely to flavour additives correcting chemical composition of tobacco raw material and improving organoleptic properties of tobacco smoke. Disclosed flavouring additive for processing tobacco raw material is a product of a sugar-amine reaction between a carbohydrate of the pentose class, selected from a group comprising ribose, arabinose, and lysine in the medium of an organic solvent from the class of glycols, taken in an amount of, wt.%: carbohydrate – 25.0–45.0; lysine – 5.0; organic solvent – 50.0–70.0, at temperature of 120–150°C for 15–60 minutes.
EFFECT: declared composition has a more pronounced effect of formation of a taste-and-flavour profile of smoke and allows to expand the range of taste-and-flavour additives for treating tobacco raw materials.
