FIELD: antenna equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to antenna engineering and is used to measure radiation pattern (RP) parameters by flyby method. Result is achieved by the fact that the method of measuring RP parameters by the fly-by method is proposed, according to which a sequence of measurements of the power of signals received from the analysed antenna is formed on board the aircraft (AC), transmitting it to the on-board computer and recording, together with the time of their reception and current coordinates of the AC, into the on-board digital storage, after flyby power measurements sample is filtered with median filter, in filtered sequence maxima are found, one of which corresponds to the main lobe (ML), and the other side lobes (SL) of RP, in the vicinity of each maximum (inside the ML and each SL of RP), power measurements are formed, smoothed by the least squares method, having previously excluded abnormal measurements and evaluating fluctuations of power measurements for normality, polynomials describing the shape of ML and SL of RP are obtained, their directions, width of ML, as well as SL levels relative to ML of RP are determined.
EFFECT: automatic measurement of directions of side lobes (SL) and their levels relative to the main lobe (ML) of RP and calculation of error of these measurements in one flight.
