SUBSTANCE: muzzle brake compensator-flame arrester of closed type with a gas discharge system comprises a cylindrical housing, in which there are successively located hollow bushings having symmetrical helical ribs of a spiral shape in the middle part of their outer surface. Ribs form closed spiral channels with inner surface of the housing, along the bottom of the channels there are holes for supply of powder gases from expansion chambers into these channels. Expansion chambers are formed by inner surface of bushings and conical separators having a hole for passage of a shell and installed in places of coupling of bushings. Gas discharge system of muzzle brake compensator-flame arrester consists of spiral channels with annular expansion chambers and outlet holes for discharge of powder gases into atmosphere.

EFFECT: suppression of shot flash, reduced recoil, increased safety of weapon use.
