FIELD: fire-fighting equipment.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to sprinkler irrigators. Sprinkler irrigator forced start-up device comprises a heat-sensitive element installed in the irrigator housing, made in the form of sealed glass thermal flask with liquid boiling at temperature of operation. On the surface of the thermal flask there is a shell which provides heating of the flask to the liquid boiling temperature when voltage is applied to the shell. Shell is made in the form of a plastic cylindrical housing with a thermite mixture, closed with a plastic cover with a bridge electric igniter with an initiating composition of a drop type installed under the cover. One end of the U-shaped metal bracket is immersed in the thermite mixture, the other end of the bracket is brought out of the shell body and tightly adjoins the glass thermal bulb, located along it. Tight coupling of the thermocouples with the shell body through the metal end of the bracket brought out from the body is provided by a clip, which is a component part of the shell body. Clip is located away from the plane in which the irrigator arms are located. In order to implement the method of forced start-up of the sprinkler irrigator, a device for forced start-up of the sprinkler irrigator is mounted on its glass thermal flask by means of a clip. Initiating the ignition of the thermite mixture and providing heating and boiling of the liquid inside the thermal flask by transferring heat through the U-shaped metal bracket, tightly contacting the glass thermal bulb in the longitudinal direction by means of a clip. Heating is carried out non-uniformly on the surface of the glass thermal bulb, creating additional conditions for more rapid destruction thereof, which are associated with violation of the structure of the glass.
EFFECT: reduced inertia of sprinkler irrigator actuation at forced start-up, as well as providing possibility of device connection to already mounted irrigators.
