SUBSTANCE: present technical solution relates to information input devices, in particular to sensory input devices using Braille. An information input device comprising: a touch-sensitive surface configured to determine coordinates of a user's touch points; a controller configured to: form at least one line between all touch points connecting said touch points; determining at least one angle of inclination of the at least one formed line relative to the position of the at least one Braille reference line formed between all possible positions of the code points on the coordinate axis of the sensor surface; comparing at least one angle of inclination of at least one line with a range of permissible deviation for said line; recognizing a braille character corresponding to the received user input, based on the comparison results; converting a Braille character into a corresponding alphanumeric character; obtaining an alphanumeric character as a user input.

EFFECT: high accuracy of recognizing input of a Braille character.
