FIELD: pedagogics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to correctional pedagogy, namely to typhlo-pedagogy and its branch, typhlotechnology, which develops and manufactures devices, as well as technical means for training, work activities and cultural and social services for the blind, visually impaired and deaf-blind people. Device is a hand-held manipulator with a body made of plastic, with an upper working surface, containing a printed-circuit board with a speaker, an indicator indicating the presence of a chip-element and chips in which information elements of signal reception are installed for converting 33 alphabetic characters of Braille into audio symbols of the letters of the Russian alphabet and 11 numeric signs of Braille for converting into audio symbols of numerals, upper working surface consists of a control field and a training field, the control field comprises a mechanism for turning the device on and off, a mechanism for turning a vibration signal on and off, volume control of the sound signal, a mechanism for switching a delay duration of the sound signal, a speaker grille, and the training field consists of four horizontal panels: the first panel on top is for a set of chip-elements, the second panel consists of six cells with six holes each for recreating large Braille symbols from large chip-elements, third panel consists of ten cells with six holes each for recreating small Braille symbols from small chip-elements, the fourth panel consists of five cells with ten holes, in front of which a numeric sign is reproduced to recreate the numeric characters of Braille and one cell with six holes for the chip-elements, the large chip-element consists of a cap with a rounded surface and legs with a metal spraying, small chip-element is a leg in the form of a cylinder with metal spraying, in the lower half of the body there is a connector for an external power source.
EFFECT: device provides increased volume of information transfer per unit of time and increased effectiveness of training, as well as formation speed of associative connection of tactile-practical perception of a symbol in the Braille code with an audio symbol by a child.
