FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power engineering and can be used in gas turbine engines to form a working medium flow, in particular, in combustion chambers, exhaust pipes, as well as other structural elements in the form of a diffuser and enables to reduce the total pressure loss and eliminate flow separation from the walls of diffusers of various shapes, increasing static pressure and ensuring uniformity of the velocity profile at the outlet of the diffuser, which will make it possible to reduce the longitudinal length of the diffusers and, as a result, the dimensions of the structural elements of the gas turbine engine. Annular diffuser with opening angle of more than 14°, characterized by the fact, on the entire surface of the internal smooth walls of the diffuser in a staggered order there are spherical recesses formed by two equal smoothly connected halves, front half in the direction of movement of the main flow is made in the form of a diffuser segment in the plane of the meridian section and in the plane, and the rear half is in the form of a confuser segment in the plane of the meridian section and in the plan, the spherical recesses are made with a relative depth of h/d=0.1–0.2, where h is maximum depth of spherical recess, d is diameter in plan view of spherical recess. Spherical recesses are made with maximum possible density of their location on the entire surface of internal smooth walls of the diffuser.
EFFECT: invention increases efficiency of diffusers of various shapes with reduced longitudinal length and opening angle of more than 14° with minimum hydraulic losses.
