FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy, particularly, to production of sintered articles with holes from powders. It can be used for production of articles with wide range of holes. Powder is poured into die cavity bounded by shaping punches with mandrel installed through radial hole in its wall to make hole. Pressing is carried out in horizontal position of item, in radial direction of its minimum thickness, by means of synchronous movement of forming punches, providing double-sided pressing and keeping the mandrel in stationary initial position.
EFFECT: high uniformity of the product and wider range of products.
